Billed as the longest continuously running Oktoberfest in the United States, it fills the alpine-themed town's Festhalle with German food, imported beer, and oompah bands on long weekends through late September, with a parade on the opening Saturday. A scaled-back version continues daily into November. It began alongside Helen's Bavarian-village rebuild in the late 1960s.
