The City of Springfield holds Freedom Fest each year on July 3 at the Robertson County Fairgrounds, closing with fireworks. The free, family-oriented event has featured a touring country headliner in recent years alongside local vendors and activities, and is distinct from Hendersonville's Freedom Festival held the same weekend in Sumner County.
