The Chincoteague Oyster Festival marks the opening of oyster season with all you can eat seafood and live music at Tom's Cove Park on the island's south end. The Chincoteague Volunteer Fire Company and the town's chamber of commerce run the ticketed festival, a fall counterpart to the chamber's spring Seafood Festival.
