Central Winds Park hosts caber toss and other heavy athletic competitions each January, alongside massed pipe bands, clan tents, and Highland dancing. The Scottish-American Society of Central Florida and Clan Buchanan have run it for nearly fifty years, usually on a mid-January weekend. It is Seminole County's largest annual community event.
