The Carolina Cup is Camden's spring steeplechase meet, drawing tens of thousands to Springdale Race Course for six races and a daylong infield tailgate. Camden Military Academy cadets present the colors before the first race. It has run since 1930 and is the larger of the town's two annual race days, the other being the fall Colonial Cup.
