A three-day festival in Fairplay built around pack burro racing, in which runners lead a burro on foot over a mountain course, a tradition rooted in Colorado's mining history. Events include a llama race, a dog race, and an outhouse race alongside the marquee burro races. Burro Days has run since 1949 and is one of Colorado's oldest continuously run summer mining town traditions.
