A Catholic blessing ceremony held on Olvera Street the Saturday before Easter, in which the Archbishop of Los Angeles blesses a procession of pets and livestock in front of the historic Pico House. It has been held on Olvera Street every year since the street's 1930 opening, rooted in a blessing tradition brought to California by early Spanish missions.
