The Blairsville Sorghum Festival is a two weekend fall celebration of traditional sorghum syrup making held at Meeks Park in Union County. It has run since the early 1970s and features cane grinding and syrup boiling demonstrations, square dancing, crafts and mountain food.

The Blairsville Sorghum Festival is a two weekend fall celebration of traditional sorghum syrup making held at Meeks Park in Union County.
The Georgia Mountain Fair began in 1950 as a small agricultural exposition and moved to its lakeside fairgrounds in Hiawassee in 1978.
A drive and walk through holiday light show at the same fairgrounds that host the summer Georgia Mountain Fair, with train rides, Santa visits and holiday vendors on the shore of Lake Chatuge.
