Bayou City Art Festival turns Memorial Park into an open-air gallery each October, with several hundred juried artists selling original paintings, sculpture, and jewelry alongside live music and food trucks. It has run since 1971 and is regularly ranked among the top art festivals in the country by trade publications. A companion spring edition is held downtown.
