Athens' marquee summer festival closes downtown streets for three days of free outdoor music on multiple stages, drawing on the city's deep rock and indie music scene alongside a juried artist market. Running since 1997, it grew out of the city's music industry heritage as home to bands like R.E.M. and the B-52s. A ticketed club crawl runs alongside the free outdoor stages.
